On April 9, an EU-145 Eurocopter helicopter landed in Lviv, transporting a 79-year-old woman with a stroke from Turka city, Lviv Oblast.
The need for air medical evacuation by rescue helicopter arose due to the difficult condition of the woman, as well as the geographical location of the village, as the city is located in the most remote mountainous area.
After landing on the runway of the Clinical Emergency care Hospital, the woman was handed over to doctors for qualified medical care.
Prompt transportation of the seriously ill patient became possible due to the ongoing duty in the Lviv region of the sanitary brigade of the Aviation System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After all, as part of the Unified Aeromedical Space, an ES-145 helicopter with a medical module, which will urgently help the population of the six western regions, which includes a crew and a medical brigade, has been on duty since April 1.
Note: The aviation system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will not only deal with medical issues but will also be involved in rescue operations and firefighting. 57 Airbus helicopters - H145, large Super Puma and shunting H125, as well as domestic Mi-8 and Mi-2 will be on duty. In addition, Antonov and Diamond aircrafts will be involved.
