Rescuers of Donetsk region took part in the online presentation of the project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH " Support for State and Municipal Emergency Management in the East of Ukraine"

During 2020-2021, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH aims to implement in the Donetsk region the project "Support to State and Municipal Emergency Management in Eastern Ukraine". An online presentation of this project, its goals and features took place on August 13. The event was attended by Project Coordinator Zoya Filipova, representative of the Department of Civil Protection, Mobilization and Defense of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Serhiy Honcharov, First Deputy Head of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast Vyacheslav Boitsov, Head of the International Cooperation Sector of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Donetsk Alina Apalkova, as well as representatives of territorial communities of the region.
During the presentation of the project Zoya Filipova acquainted the participants with the main goals to be achieved as a result of the implementation of the projec, namely: effective training of local firefighters and specialists of Security Centers based on SES, protection and motivation of personnel, protection of the population. The implementation of the Project will be carried out in several stages: selection of communities that will participate in the project and meet the conditions, exchange of experience with German colleagues, training and provision with the latest equipment for training and skills development. It is planned to conduct training for specialists of the Security Centers or local fire brigades on the basis of the training point of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk region in Mariupol. In order to conduct the training in conditions as close as possible to the real ones, the project provides the use of special equipment that simulates various emergencies.

The implementation of the project "Support to State and Municipal Emergency Management in the East of Ukraine" is an important step in ensuring an effective response to possible emergencies at all levels - local, regional and state.
