On January 21 and 22, the SES hosted working meetings of representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with the representatives of the European Union project “PPRD East II Program” Peter Glerum and Georgi Karaseni.
Within two days, international experts evaluated the effectiveness of the implementation of the second and identified the main objectives of the next phase, funded by the European Union Program for the prevention, preparedness and response to natural and man-made emergencies of the EU's Eastern Partnership. In particular, the main results of the activities of the working groups in the relevant areas were presented.
It was also noted the successful participation of Ukrainian rescuers in EU MOLDEX 2017 regional full-scale civil defense training exercises, which have become an important component of the civil protection training program and an incentive for partner countries to strengthen legislative action and further move towards closer cooperation with the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
As a result, the Ukrainian side emphasized the readiness of the SESU to pursue purposefully and consistently successful cooperation within the Program, as well as to further participate in the implementation of joint activities.
