The rescuers have received the portable chemical detectors under the International Technical Assistance Project “Enhancing Ukraine’s Civil Protection Capability II”

The visit of the representatives of the delegation of the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (hereinafter referred to as BBK) headed by the Project Coordinator Mr. Gero Steup is being continued within the framework of the International Technical Assistance Project “Enhancing Ukraine's Civil Protection Capability II”; the donor is the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, the contractor is BBK.

Today, on January 16, a tripartite working meeting has been held with the participation of the representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Administration of the State Border Service of Ukraine and the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance of the Federal Republic of Germany. During the meeting the participants have discussed the issues of planning and coordination of the measures for continuation of project activity for 2020-2021.

During the event a ceremony of transferring of 23 portable chemical detectors ChemPro 100i to the rescuers of the SESU has been held at the territory of the Institute of Public Administration in the Field of Civil Protection. The equipment on total amount of 290.000 EUR has been received within the framework of the Project.

The representatives of the SES of Ukraine thanked the German partners and mentioned that due to the contribution of the German Government in the implementation of the Project, the SESU receives the modern equipment and the potential of Ukraine in the field of civil protection is significantly increasing. Sustainable development of cooperation between the SESU units and the specialists of the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance of the Federal Republic of Germany has great potential and the SES of Ukraine is being interested in continuing of such fruitful cooperation.
