Meeting of Ukrainian rescuers with Belarusian colleagues took place at Republican Center of Emergency Management and Response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus

On October 22, a working meeting of the Ukrainian Rescue Delegation, headed by the Head of the capital's department of the SES of Ukrain Andrei Vatolin with the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Vashchenko, took place at Republican Center of Emergency Management and Response of the  Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus

During the meeting, issues of a bilateral agreement on cooperation to protect the population and territories from emergency situations were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the interaction of capital's units and agencies of emergency services , the development and implementation of new modern technologies for preventing and eliminating of the consequences of emergency situations in large cities. They discussed the issues of ensuring safety during mass events, carrying out emergency rescue work on subway facilities and extinguishing fires in high-rise buildings. The issue of cooperation with international organizations in the field of development and implementation of technical assistance projects was raised.

The purpose of this visit is to exchange experience and to study the characteristics of work of the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, in particular: organization of emergency rescue works in the Minsk subway and an algorithm of actions in case of emergencies at this site. It is also planned to conduct special tactical exercises at one of the subway stations in Minsk.
