On September 5, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Ruslan Biloshitsky, met with a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the People's Republic of China headed by Mr. Juan Yuzhi, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Emergencies of the People's Republic of China.
During the meeting, the parties discussed possible cooperation in the context of the signing of a future Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the People's Republic of China on technical and economic cooperation, which in particular envisages the transfer of 52 units of special rescue equipment and equipment to the SES.
Ruslan Beloshitsky reminded of a previous project of free assistance from the Government of the People's Republic of China, which was implemented during 2016-2017.
"The service has received more than 57 special emergency vehicles and equipment totaling RMB 50 million (about US $ 7 million), which is currently being used effectively by SESU for emergency response," he said.
During the meeting of representatives of the foreign delegation, which also included experts on coal mines safety, accident investigation and cooperation and rescue, were introduced to the principles of SES of Ukraine as a whole, as well as the peculiarities of mining work in underground mining. In particular, representatives of the State Paramilitary Mining Rescue Squad of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine presented information materials on the activities of Ukrainian miners.
