Meeting with the group of international experts of the NATO Integrity Program was held in the SES

On July 16, representatives of the SES of Ukraine, headed by the Deputy Head of the SES Ruslan Biloshitsky, met with a group of international experts  of the NATO Integrity Development Program. The heads of the departments of personnel, economy and finance, resource support, internal audit, as well as internal security and anti-corruption of the SES took part in the meeting.

Ruslan Biloshitsky noted the particular importance of the Alliance's Integrity Development Program: "Taking into acount rather rapid development of the modern international anti-corruption policy, as well as the practical application of mechanisms in the field of prevention of corruption, there is a need in effective implementation and improvement of measures in the field of prevention of corruption, early detection and minimization of corruption risks in various areas of activity of the SES", he said.

"Measures aimed at compliance with the requirements of anti-corruption legislation are carried out by the SES in close cooperation with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. To this end, the Internal Security and Anti-Corruption Division has been esteblished in the SES,  which has the functions of preventing corruption in civil protection bodies and units, as well as the implementation of preventive measures in this direction. In addition, the SES developed the Anti-Corruption Program of the SES for 2019 and created the
Corruption Risks Assessment Commission", - informed the Deputy Head of the Service.

In turn, Ms Benedict Borel, a NATO representative, manager of the Integrity Development Program, noted that the fourth cycle of expert study of government bodies in Ukraine continues, it assesses the implementation of reforms in our country: "We received the results of the survey on the Self-Assessment of Integrity, Transparency and Reduction of Corruption Risks, in which the SES also took part and, based on the results of the survey, we prepared a current report, which will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. "

"Our goal is to share the practical experience gained while working with other Program member countries," she added.

During the meeting, the participants also informed NATO representatives on the progress in implementation of the Anti-Corruption Program of the SES for 2019, discussed performance indicators, as well as issues and challenges.
