In the Chernigov region, training courses for future fire brigade volunteers continue within the U-LEAD Europe program

July 1, within the framework of the initiative "Improvement of Civil Protection in the United Territorial Communities of Ukraine", which is being implemented by the Association of Voluntary Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland, together with partners within the framework of the "U-LEAD with Europe" Program, on the basis of a training point of the SESU of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region with the participation of trainers from Poland, the second phase of training was continued for 30 volunteers from 5 communities participating in the project: Bobrovytska, Sosnitska, Menska, Plyskovska and Vysochanska united territorial communities.
 
The project coordinator, the head of the Volunteer Fire Protection Department of the Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship of the Republic of Poland, Marek Kowalski, General of the Polish State Fire Service in retirement. He noted that the course is designed for 140 hours and Polish trainer Mateusz Vashchak will take part in his training.

After the event, Marek Kowalski and Deputy Chief of the SES of Ukraine in Chernihiv Oblast, Colonel of the Civil Protection Service Oleksandr Nagulo went with a working visit to volunteer fire brigades of Bobrovitsya, Vysochansk, Sosnitsk and Mensk united territorial communities, got acquainted with their material and technical base, discussed issues with the heads of communities managing crisis situations at the local level and creating community security plans. During the meetings, it was emphasized that thanks to our Polish colleagues, fire brigades from the voluntary fire brigades of Chernihiv Oblast gained valuable experience in organizing and implementing the protection of settlements and territories from fires and emergency.
