On June 5, a delegation from the Republic of Armenia had a working visit to Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Heroes of Chornobyl of National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine, namely: David Melkumian - Head of the Division of Explosion and Fire Technical Expertise of the National Bureau of Expertise and Margaret Aloian - handwriting expert of this division.
In the Museum of the Institute the guests got acquainted with unique photos, paintings, stands, architectural models, technical equipment of the work of rescuers of the past, historical exhibits of the formation and development of an educational institution. With special regard, the members of delegation attributed to the heroic feat of the graduating students – ATO Participants, Oleksii Panchenko and Ihor Boiko, who at the expense of their own lives, defended Ukraine from the enemy, as well as graduating students – Heroes of Chornobyl, Volodymyr Pravyk and Viktor Kibenko, and all fire-fighters – participants of the liquidation of a major accident at Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and its consequences, whose names are stamped on the Monument to the Heroes of Chornobyl.
During the excursion to training fire and rescue unit the rescue equipment have been demonstrated to foreign guests. Representatives of the delegation also visited the modern classrooms and gas-smoke complex of Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety.
The guests highly appreciated the conditions for theoretical and practical training of rescue specialists at the Institute.
