On June 3, a working visit of the General Directorate of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic to Ukraine has started. The Director General of the institution Dragoslav Ryba headed the foreign delegation. On this day, the Czech rescuers accompanied by the Head of the SESU Mykola Chechotkin visited the Interregional Center for Rapid Response of the SES of Ukraine in Romny Town of Sumy oblast.
Consequently, the participants of the visit looked at the modern models of vehicles and equipment of the emergency rescue unit and the radiation, chemical and biological protection unit of the Center, visited the chemical and radiometric laboratory, the diving station and the training class of pyrotechnic units.
Special attention should be paid to the acquaintance of the delegation with the activities of the Сynological Center of the ICRR, which is the leader in Ukraine in the issue of training of dogs. The representatives of the SESU and the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic inspected the premises of the club of the Сynological Center, as well as the playgrounds for training of search and rescue dogs and detection dogs.
During the demonstration of the capabilities of the units of the Center, the foreign guests were able to look at the work of search and rescue cynological teams in industrial rubble, how to search for explosive objects using detection dogs, as well as how to prepare the cynological teams according to the separation of obedience and agility. The delegation also looked over the territory of the nursery and the recreation space of the personnel of the cynological teams.
Moreover, within the framework of the visit to Ukraine, it is also planned to familiarize with the material and technical base of the Special Aviation Unit of the SES of Ukraine, located in Nizhyn Town of Chernihiv Oblast, as well as to visit the Lviv State University of Life Safety and the Main Department of the SESU in Lviv Oblast.
