Specialists of the Rescue Service carry out comprehensive work on prevention of emergencies of various kinds every day, as well as check the readiness of the units for the intended actions. In particular, rescuers take part in command post and tactical exercises and trainings.
Since May 7, rescuers of the Main Department of SES of Ukraine in Donetsk region conducted a training for personnel and students in the regional pediatric bone TB recreation and spa center named after Krupskaya that is located in Mariupol. According to the legend of the training, the fire occurred in one of the premises in the second floor of the institution during the day sleep time. With the help of a smoke generator, the conditions were as close as possible to the real ones. After the alarm the healthcare workers took the children out from the building the street, but one of the pupils, while in stress, was scared and hid. Thanks to the organized actions of the rescuers and staff, the girl was found and brought to fresh air in the shortest possible time, where she was handed over to medical staff.
Meantime, in Dnipropetrovsk region, in order to effectively use proper operation and quality of readiness for intended actions, emergency response and extinguishing forest fires, the engineering unit of the Main Department of SES of Ukraine in the region performed their march on May 7. 13 units of vehicles participated in the march, and after that a practical exercise was conducted on the deployment of the PNS-110 pumping station and the hose line.
In turn, in Chernihiv region, specialists of regional departments of SES checked the readiness of forestry enterprises and assessed the forest fire risk of the period in Gorodnyanskyi, Kozeletskyi, Koryukovkyi, Novgorod-Severskyi, Ripky, Semenov, Snovsk and Chernihiv districts. During that they verified the presence of relevant documentation, including plans to engage additional forces, documents for cooperation with the SES units, quality of monitoring and patrol, technical condition and serviceability of firefighting equipment and those adapted for firefighting, fire fighting items and equipment, establishment of mineralized strips, fuel and lubricants stock, as well as the installation of barriers and prophylactic shacks near the forest massifs, etc.
In general, exercise and joint training to prevent various types of emergencies, as well as prompt response in the event of emergencies will be continued throughout the country. Indeed, it is a regular work that helps to identify weaknesses and disadvantages, and also increases the willingness and ability of units to act as intended.
