SES has received humanitarian demining machinery and equipment
On August 2, representatives of the Danish Demining Group (DDG) at the Training Ground of the Mobile Emergency Response Center of the SES in Kyiv region handed over to the SES pyrotechnics machinery and equipment for humanitarian demining in Donbass, that was purchased with the support of the US government.
Colleague from the United States of America visited metropolitan rescuers
On July 25, in the framework of a working visit to the United States Embassy in Ukraine, Fire Safety Inspector of Washington City Craig Milton and the US Embassy Safety Coordinator visited the 6th State Fire and Rescue Station of Kyiv City. This Station was not chosen by chance, but because it is the closest to the embassy.
Meeting with the group of international experts of the NATO Integrity Program was held in the SES
On July 16, representatives of the SES of Ukraine, headed by the Deputy Head of the SES Ruslan Biloshitsky, met with a group of international experts of the NATO Integrity Development Program. The heads of the departments of personnel, economy and finance, resource support, internal audit, as well as internal security and anti-corruption of the SES took part in the meeting.
Meeting with representatives of the companies "Integra" and "Weeze Training Base" was held in SESU
On July 4, meeting of the Deputy Head of the SES of Ukraine Ruslan Biloshitsky with representatives of the companies "Integra" and "Weeze Training Base" was held in the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Representatives of the Association "Airports of Ukraine" of civil aviation in the European Union, the National Police, the National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, etc. took part in the event.
In the Chernigov region, training courses for future fire brigade volunteers continue within the U-LEAD Europe program
July 1, within the framework of the initiative "Improvement of Civil Protection in the United Territorial Communities of Ukraine", which is being implemented by the Association of Voluntary Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland, together with partners within the framework of the "U-LEAD with Europe" Program, on the basis of a training point of the SESU of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region with the participation of trainers from Poland, the second phase of training was continued for 30 volunteers from 5 communities participating in the project: Bobrovytska, Sosnitska, Menska, Plyskovska and Vysochanska united territorial communities.
The first Ukrainian exercise “Rescue Days Ukraine 2019” has been held in Rivne oblas
During June 18–22, the first Ukrainian exercise “Rescue Days Ukraine 2019” has been held at the training ground of Emergency Rescue Unit of the special assignment of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Rivne oblast. On this Saturday, a ceremonial closing of the exercises took place with the participation of the Head of the SESU Mykola Chechotkin and the Chief Instructor of the exercise Rüdiger Knoll.
Cooperation between the Lviv State University of Life Safety and the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences
In accordance with the bilateral agreement on cooperation between the Lviv State University of Life Safety and the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (Tallinn, Estonia), within the framework of the international project "Support to the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Service in the system of training in the field of humanitarian demining" a training for humanitarian demining specialists took place. The event took place during June 3-7, 2019 in the premises of the demining center of the Rescue Department of Estonia. Participation in the event was taken by cadets in the "Civil Security" specialty (specialization "Engineering support for engineering, pyrotechnic and explosive works"), as well as representatives of the Department of Civil Protection and computer modeling of eco-geophysical processes.
Rescuer of the SES of Ukraine participated in the training course on sampling and analysis of substances in a extremely polluted environment, held in Poland
From 13 to 17 May, in Częstochowa city, Poland, the OPCW Technical Secretariat (the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) held a “Training Course on Sampling and Analysis of Substances in an Extremely Polluted Environment”.
Representatives from countries such as Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burundi, Colombia, Costa Rica, Italy, Kenya, Nigeria, Panama, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Jordan and Ukraine took part in the course.
