Rescuers of Donetsk region took part in a three-day press tour "Principles and procedures of humanitarian demining in Ukraine"
A press tour "Principles and Procedures for Humanitarian Demining in Ukraine" organized by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine was held in Kramatorsk and Slovyansk on August 18-20. The event allowed journalists and bloggers to get acquainted with the principles and procedures of humanitarian demining on the examples of territories damaged by the armed conflict, to communicate with Ukrainian and international experts in the field of mine action, to raise awareness of best international practices and local initiatives, to see practical work aimed at reduction of risks to people from explosive objects. The press tour was attended by 12 media representatives. In addition, the event was attended by representatives of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, who demonstrated a set of awareness activities for the population regarding the danger of explosive objects, used throughout the region.

As part of the Joint Project "Humanitarian Mine Action in Eastern Ukraine" on June 18 with the participation of the Head of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk region Oleksiy Migrin and Development Manager of The HALO Trust in Ukraine Irakli Chitanov 4 units of Mitsubishi L200 SUVs at the expense of the European Union for the needs of the Civil Service of Ukraine for Emergencies.
Rescuers remind citizens of the rules of safe stay in natural ecosystems
Considering the number of fires in open areas and in ecosystems, of which there have already been more than 30,000 cases since the beginning of the year, rescuers have begun to patrol forests actively. The Rescue Service also carries out informational and explanatory work among the population about the causes and consequences of fires, which annually destroy hundreds of hectares of the green territory of Ukraine.
The rescuers of Donetsk Region return on prevention of fires in natural ecosystems
The first warm and sunny spring days have brought the first fires in open areas in Donetsk Region. The firefighters have already extinguished several fires in ecosystems. However, despite the numerous warnings of rescuers about the danger of burning of leafy and coniferous litter, people continue to do it in the gardens, orchards, and yards.
